In Kelley’s online program, there are 54 credits in the curriculum, which contains four main components: core courses, course electives, Kelley On Campus experiences, and experiential learning options. If you wish to major in something specific, you can tailor your electives in that area. You’re also able to pursue a dual degree, which includes 12 extra credits that you must get. Live sessions are held on Zoom, and each student typically attends two per week. The sessions are around 90 minutes long, and they’re held between 6 to 9 p.m. ET. All classes are recorded, so you can look at them later. Many courses utilize a “flipped classroom” style, so you’re able to collaborate on the homework and ask questions during the live session. The Kelley School uses Canvas as their platform to distribute and collect assignments, post grades, etc.
If you have to miss a live class session, the faculty are flexible and willing to work with you to create an alternative option if needed. The curriculum is deliberately designed to be adaptable and allow for students to extend or accelerate their plan.
As with any program, you must prepare before class and stay up to date with assignments and readings. Group assignments are a large component of the online program, and papers and other projects are assigned by the professors, which vary based on the course.
Online students have access to varying career services, including career coaching, professional development classes, job boards, and in-person networking opportunities at Kelley On Campus. Alumni are encouraged to reach out to career coaches for personalized assistance years after graduating.
