What is the University of Kansas Online MBA Program?

The KU School of Business online MBA program offers 13 courses to be completed in 42 credit hours. Each course is allotted 8 weeks, and at the end of the program, students undertake a 6-credit capstone project. The course can be completed within 27 months, though it can be extended to accommodate your work schedule.

Why choose an online program over an in-person MBA?

It’s important to choose a degree format that works best for your life and your schedule. If you’re unable to step away from a full-time position, or you’re a stay-at-home parent, then an in-person degree might not be an option for you. In that case, an online program might be the way to go! Online programs can be cheaper, since there’s no housing cost added to the tuition, which may be a factor in your decision. Remember: online MBAs are just as valid and “worth the money” as in-person programs are.

Do the full-time and online MBA degrees have a similar curriculum?

Yes! The same faculty that teach the in-person curriculum also teach in the online program. Both options require the same rigorous, hard work from the students to ensure that they are getting the most out of their time at the University of Kansas.
