What is the NC State Jenkins Professional Online MBA Program?

The program requires students to complete 40 credit hours in order to graduate, and they can choose to do this through the accelerated or flexible program. The accelerated path is an intensive track that students complete in 21 months, and the flexible path can take up to six years to complete.

Class Format

NC State provides online students with an online learning platform specific to their school, called WolfWare. Through this platform, students have access to tools such as Moodle, Zoom, video file streaming, and discussion boards. Courses are also accessed through WolfWare, along with assignments and contact with fellow students. Faculty offer office hours through video calls, online chats, and audio phone calls.

Flexibility for Working Professionals

The program is designed with working professionals in mind – students can complete their coursework at the pace that works best for them, and they can opt to remain in the program for a longer amount of time. Essentially, you can make the program work for you, and you’ll still get the same quality education that on campus students receive.

What else does this program require of its students?

As with any program, students are required to complete readings and assignments according to the professor’s schedule. Online students are also required to complete a virtual orientation with the online modules that go along with it. Students are also required to complete two residencies on campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. Each residency is 3 days long, and they provide students with lessons in networking, presentation, and communication.
