Tobin College offers several options for MBA concentrations:
Each concentration allows for up to 36 credits, though many require only 24. Typically, full-time students complete this in three semesters, and part-time students complete this in three years. All applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree – or another country’s equivalent – from an accredited institution. Some concentrations require applicants to have demonstrated competency in certain subject areas, such as mathematics and computer use.
There are many reasons to pursue an online MBA, and it is important to choose a course that is best for your life and your schedule. Online programs can be cheaper, since there’s no housing cost added to the tuition, which may be a factor in your decision. If you’re unable to step away from a full-time position, or you’re a stay-at-home parent, then an in-person degree might not be an option for you. In that case, an online program is the way to go! Online MBA’s are just as valid and “worth the money” as in-person programs are. Check out our article here for more information.
Yes! Though you may be remote, the quality of the education remains the same. The online lectures are taught by the same in-person professors.

St. John’s University hosts its coursework and classes online, giving its students access to virtual classrooms, accomplished faculty, and classmates with whom they can interact. Professors deliver lectures and post assignments via Blackboard, which students can use to attend virtual classes, share documents, take exams, and exchange ideas with faculty and classmates.
The online MBA program was designed with working professionals in mind, and students are encouraged to complete coursework when it is convenient for them to do so.
As with any program, students are expected to keep up with the course schedule and complete readings and assignments as needed.
There is also one in-person requirement for all online MBA students: the on-site workshop. The Tobin Graduate Intensive Foundations (TGIF) is a 3-day workshop for incoming graduate students that aims to standardize the basic fundamentals and quantitative analytical skills of business studies. This will afford incoming online MBA students the opportunity to meet with faculty and interact with their peers on campus. All entering online M.B.A. students must attend this on-site workshop.
Tobin’s online MBA students have access to the same Career Services as in-person students, including Handshake and an extensive student and alumni network willing to connect with fellow Tobin graduates.
