Highlights From Ross’s Story

#1 Crafting Stories and Interview Prep

As an engineer, Ross knew that writing was not his strength and he sought the support of Menlo Coaching to help him craft his personal stories. Moreover, as someone who was nervous speaking in interviews, Ross thought Menlo’s communication training was a helpful tool to break through that nervousness and prepare for his interviews.

#2 Successfully Reapplying

After being rejected to the schools he wanted to attend, Ross reapplied with the support of his coach, Yaron. Yaron knew the reapplication process well and helped him with the steps that needed to be followed to be successful. In the end, Ross received offers from both Northwestern and Booth, accepting the offer from Booth.

#3 Choosing the Right School

If he could change anything, it would be to spend more time on choosing the right school for him, instead of applying to as many schools as possible. Ross believes that stretching himself out thin hurt him in some of the schools he applied to.
