Working with Alice was a truly fantastic experience. I had a mix of non-traditional background mixed with over-represented work experience and so going into the application process I was unsure of which parts of my profile to highlight. Alice really took the time to get to know me and helped to pull out the aspects of my application that were truly unique. This resulted in me getting an offer with a scholarship from one of my dream schools and two waitlists (at this time) at schools that were definitely a reach for me.
Alice was the perfect mix of being honest and supportive. She immediately identified my weaknesses (GMAT) and helped me to develop a strategy to improve. I was part of the Menlo early bird group and found it so helpful to be able to bounce ideas and strategies off a group of supportive peers. This coupled with Menlo’s incredible introspective writing exercises meant that by the time that I was ready to start my applications I knew exactly what I wanted in a school and how I could best position myself.
While working with Menlo I did some of the most meaningful introspective writing of my life. While most of this never made it into my final essays, it allowed me to contemplate my strengths and weaknesses as a candidate and ultimately lead me to choose a school that I had not even considered when I first was thinking about pursuing an MBA. I could not be happier with the Menlo process and I am so thankful to have had Alice to push me to think about what I really wanted out of my MBA experience.
I cannot recommend Menlo and Alice enough to anyone embarking on the MBA application journey. You will be pushed to really think about your life to this point and ultimately will be able to make a much better and more informed decision about the school you ultimately pick. Alice was so supportive throughout the process and from school visits to essays to interviews to the final decision, I felt like I could always tell Alice what I was thinking and ask her any question and get an honest and informed response. Alice is smart, attentive and kind and this ultimately led to my MBA application process being a truly pleasurable experience.
