With the below post I want to warmly recommend the services of Alice van Harten and Menlo Coaching to all future applicants! Please, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. I will be glad to fully verify my authenticity. I have had the plan for an MBA for quite some time. Then, having worked in an unknown family startup, coming from an underrepresented part of the world, which does NOT have any tradition with MBAs and does not have English as its first language, I knew early on that I needed an admissions consultant. The best one! I talked to all of them, big and small, famous and rather unknown, and luckily, while doing my research I ran into Alice. This is also why I am posting this recommendation here. I decided on working with Alice in November 2015 when I talked to her and within all my chats she was almost the only one to give me honest feedback and actionable advice – before I knew whether I would subscribe or not with her. Exactly the opposite, as she was already full, it was more or less clear we wouldn’t be able to make it. Because I wanted to work with her (and only with her), I decided to push my applications from R2/2015 to R1/2016. I started my apps in May 2016! It was an ambitious set of schools, but in the end, I made it into 3 out of 7 schools. And I am sure – it wasn’t mine, nor her fault that I didn’t make it into the remaining 4! We did a great job! So please, take into account, no one can guarantee anything! Whoever comes with some fancy statistics is misleading you! As an MBA candidate you should know what critical thinking is… Working with Alice is simple – she tries to get to know you so that your personality can come through. She always gives candid feedback, which can be hard for some people, but I always felt it pushed me to deliver a better job. This is to say, Alice and her team will never write your essays, but she will push you towards writing the best essays possible. Yet, her long experience will come in handy when you need suggestions for wording, cutting down word count or finding an interesting twist to the story you want to tell. She never ever showed any delay (though I believe I was also always on time :)) and constantly answered my questions (all sorts of) within a couple of hours. Essay edits are normally ready within a day. All in all, I can do nothing but recommend her services to all of you! Should you plan on applying, please reach out to her now or early, because her spots fill quickly and you will regret it. However, please take into account a general disclaimer that I also want to share with you – admissions consultants are no magicians! It all comes down to YOUR research, YOUR ideas, as well as the hard work YOU put in (both in your applications, as well as the one you have invested in the past years).
