Alice was highly recommended by a close friend who got into HBS. I was lucky to work with her as she had no availability when I spoke with her (and I only got the opportunity when one candidate dropped out). I informed her how my dream school was the GSB and despite my concerns of applying R2, I was fortunate to be admitted – Alice provided such invaluable advice along the way. She is incredibly experienced in all aspects related to the application process. Some key highlights – For the recommendation, she has great instincts on who to select (her choice turned out to be so ideal when I was personally skeptical) and she’s very clear on explaining her rationale. She is also experienced in how an applicant can best brief the recommenders to help them through the process (I wasn’t aware that was even a part of the process!). For the resume & essay portions, not only does she attentively listen to your own personal life story and opinions, she has a lot of experience knowing what each business school is looking for (e.g., what GSB cares about) and is always very direct in telling you when your opinion/direction is off track and not compelling. This really makes Alice stand out because she is determined to help you achieve your goal – more so than she cares about how you feel & letting you go on a less compelling path. Last but not least, she always finds time to talk whenever you have something on your mind during an extremely stressful time (it isn’t always business) and it’s been incredible working with Alice.
