I had the pleasure of working with Hailey not only through the Menlo GMAT prep course, but also in 1:1 tutoring sessions. Hailey singlehandedly helped to make my GMAT/GRE experience successful. I don’t think I could have made it through without her genuine words of wisdom, incredible teaching approach, and fun to be around personality. I looked forward to each session with her, and certainly would not have gotten the score I did without her guidance and support.

I had looked at a few different firms, and then when attending the info sessions, I realized I loved Menlo’s, like, holistic approach to really understanding the why and, like, how to attack a problem versus just drilling different practice problems every single day and memorizing the answers. And so I found that to be like a lot more approachable. It felt like something sustainable that I could feel confident going into the GMAT and attack any problem that came up.

I had done one GMAT prep originally, and my math skills have always been strong. So the first time around that I took the GMAT, you know, math I aced. English was not the best. So I came to Hailey. I said, hey. You know, I’m looking to refine my English skills. Can you really help me out throughout this entire process? She really helped me boost my English score, and it got me to a point where I was at a level where I thought I was good to apply for some of these top schools.

As you know we’re all busy people so it’s hard to do all the homework and all the work that that course requires during the week especially but having the live sessions sort of keeping tab on where we are and trying to keep up with the class that was that was extremely important. I really enjoyed the interactive nature of the class as well and and just having to deal with actual GMAT questions while on the class and seeing how the others in the class respond and what are the common mistakes.

So for me, it was paralysis by analysis where there were so many resources that I I couldn’t really make good progress because I was constantly switching between them. So I decided a more targeted program like the the Menlo GMAT prep course would would be best for me where it would be really focused in the sense that I would be told exactly what I need to do on a given day or week to reach the the GMAT goals that I had.

Hailey taught my GMAT prep course and I was very pleased with the pace, the content, the homework and extra practice problems available, and above all, her explanations and methods of teaching the content. Rather than teaching formulas, she helped us really understand shortcuts and critical reasoning methods to quickly distill the content, and her approaches to taking the test proved very helpful. I had an amazing experience using Menlo coaching for my GMAT prep. I think my strengths coming into studying with Menlo’s, obviously, I studied engineering and I have a good base Quant knowledge. However, I really didn’t have a grasp of the strategy and how to kind of approach and improve my responses on the verbal side of things. So I really wanted to work on that area. And that’s where Menlo was, amazing, but on-demand course was perfect because I could do it whenever suited on the weekends. And the timing really worked. I stuck to the schedule as if it, I was doing it live.

One of the things that I liked best about the Menlo course in comparison to some of the other courses that I was taking, was the efficiency of the course. The Menlo course only lasted six weeks, in comparison to the several weeks that I was preparing, using my other resources. What I really liked about the Menlo course is was that we spent the most time applying the concepts that we learned from our refresh modules, and just making sure that we knew how to execute the application properly, to best answer the questions.

You know, I hadn’t done math and a long time especially having got a music school and things like that at least higher level math. I just knew I wanted to get a good score. That was important for me. And I didn’t use any other prep material, really only Menlo and I mean, I had, I guess I’ve done some research in terms of like what’s a good score for the GMAT sort of what the test is about, and that sort of thing, basic stuff. But again, in terms of like other preparatory, courses and things like that. Yeah, Menlo is the only one.

I think the main ways that the course helped me with my score was the first thing was there were these refresh modules that focused very specifically on specific topics to brush up on. So things like math and grammar where the concepts are maybe somewhere there, but they’re catching rust or cobwebs and need to be refreshed, and what I liked about them was that they were super concise, there were a lot of practice problems, and I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time trying to brush up on things that I already knew or spending a lot of time just refreshing content.
