Associate

Do you want to begin your career by learning from an experienced team?

David worked in executive roles for Efficient Frontier (acquired by Adobe), Yahoo, and Travelzoo, with responsibilities for business units of up to $120M. Alice was a consultant at Bain, and taught at Stanford University. Rebecca was a non-profit executive, and is a Kellogg MBA.

Are you planning to start your own company one day?

We are 8 people (and growing rapidly), and have a flexible work environment where you can get exposure to different areas of our business. Seeing our growth can prepare you to start your own company one day.

The role

We’re looking for an Associate who can handle tasks including:

  • Researching MBA programs at top universities, such as Harvard, and summarizing key findings for our clients who are applying to those programs.
  • Configuring our online course platform.
  • Assisting with client services and marketing tasks.
  • Supervising the work of external contractors.

You should have a university degree and fluent or native English, written and spoken. (The majority of our clients are American.) Previous work experience is positive but not required.

This is a full-time role based at our headquarters in Baarn, 40 minutes’ train ride from Amsterdam Centraal Station.

The company

Menlo Coaching was established in 2012 and is based in Baarn, NL, just outside Amsterdam. The quality of our work has resulted in industry awards, including David’s recognition as the #1 global admissions consultant and Alice’s recognition as the #3, by Poets&Quants.

But the best praise for our services comes directly from our clients:

Alice knows the admission game backwards and forwards. She genuinely cares about your success (not just in getting into a school but also your career) but at the same time, she is upfront and pragmatic about everything.

I’ve worked two different high-finance jobs in my career and consider myself a strong interviewer. I
worked with David for less than an hour to prepare for my Booth interview. When I finished my interview, I confidently told David and Alice it was the best interview of my life. I *knew* I would get the Booth offer and this is not from a place of ego but just to speak as to how well David prepared me.

Write in inviolable secrecy to me, David White, at [email protected] to start a discussion about this role. I’d love to hear about your experiences.
